Frank Collins, 70, was conned out of $70,000 by unlicensed door-knockers who quoted him $84,000, took $15,000 a day, then walked off leaving a gaping hole in his roof. When his story aired on A Current Affair, All Roofing Services owner Julian Dirou emailed the program offering to fix it — for free.
We rebuilt Frank’s shed roof and brought in EME Roofing for the tiles, Light Up Electrical for the rewiring, and Roofing Supermarket to donate the materials. A few weeks later Frank had a brand new roof, and it hadn’t cost him a cent.

How do I know I am not being ripped off by a roofer?
Ask for the quote in writing before any work starts, check the roofer is licensed and insured, and be wary of unlicensed door-knockers who ask for large payments up front.
